Hey there. I'm Alexandra, a trauma and relationship therapist in NYC who helps people understand how their experiences shape the way they relate, connect, and trust, empowering them to transform their relationships with themselves and others.

I believe being trauma-informed means looking beneath our patterns and getting curious about why we respond the way we do. Rather than judging ourselves for these responses, we can begin to understand what they may have helped us navigate in the past. With compassion and understanding, we can create space for new ways of relating to ourselves and others, ones that feel more supportive of who we are and how we want to live.

For me, healing involves more than understanding the past. It's about rebuilding self-trust, reconnecting with our emotions and needs, and creating more meaningful connections with ourselves and others.

As an EMDRIA-certified and IFS/IFIO-informed trauma and couples therapist, I draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) to support individuals, couples, and families in understanding emotional and relationship patterns, processing difficult experiences, and building deeper connections. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, tailored to your unique experiences, needs, and goals.

I strive to create a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, understood, and supported. I bring extensive experience providing LGBTQ+ affirming care and welcome clients exploring their gender identity, sexuality, and relationship dynamics. I believe healing happens in connection and community, and I'm committed to supporting you in developing a more compassionate relationship with yourself and more meaningful connections with others. I also provide therapy in both English and Spanish.

LMHC-D & LPC

The way we relate to others often begins with the way we relate to ourselves.

Our experiences shape how we see ourselves, navigate relationships, and connect with the people closest to us. Whether you’re seeking therapy individually, as a couple, or as a family,
it’s possible to better understand the patterns that shape your relationships, strengthen your connections, and create meaningful change in how you relate to yourself and one another.

It is possible to:

✔ Trust yourself, make decisions with greater confidence, and feel more
secure in your authenticity.

✔ Understand your emotions and needs, communicate more openly,
‍ ‍and feel heard and understood.

✔ Navigate difficult emotions and conversations with greater steadiness, ‍ ‍
‍ ‍curiosity, and compassion.

✔ Build relationships where everyone has space to express their needs,
‍ ‍honor differences, and maintain healthy boundaries.

✔ Strengthen emotional connection, rebuild trust, and approach conflict
‍ ‍in ways that foster understanding rather than disconnection.

✔ Shift long-standing patterns and develop new ways of relating that
create more fulfilling, supportive, and connected relationships.

Less Formally

I’m a dog mom, an immigrant, and someone who has been shaped by navigating different cultures, discovering new perspectives, and continually learning about
myself and the world around me. I value connection in the little moments
of everyday life, find joy in life’s simple pleasures, and love having creative outlets
to express myself.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my dog, doing pilates, enjoying something chocolatey, dancing, exploring art, learning a new language, getting lost in a good book, or listening to the same song on repeat until I find
my next favorite.

My own experience in therapy is a big part of what led me to become a therapist. Through that process, I was able to work through my trauma, reconnect with my body, learn to trust my inner wisdom, and feel more grounded in who I am. I began to feel freer to be myself and more authentic in my relationships. That experience continues
to inspire me to help others find their own paths toward healing, self-trust, and deeper connections with themselves and the people they love.

I feel incredibly fortunate to do this work and to witness the courage it takes to grow, change, and let ourselves be seen. Being part of the meaningful connections people build along the way is something I don’t take for granted.

My values as a therapist

If you’re ready to break old patterns, rebuild self-trust,
and create healthier relationships within yourself or others,
I’d be honored to support you in that journey!
